My Top 10 Films of 2009
After much deliberation, and a few films moving in and out of the list, I’m settling on the following. Note that these are new releases I have seen this year, so some 2009 releases are ineligible as I saw them in 2008 (e.g. The Wrestler, Synecdoche New York). In alphabetical order:

Guardian Top 100 Films of the Decade
They haven’t published the top three yet (“There Will Be Blood” and “Mulholland Drive” had better be in there), and I realise these lists are incredibly subjective, but to put “Fahrenheit 9/11” at #10 yet “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” at #56 is just perverse. And so wrong I want to scream.
